THANK YOU MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR - THE NUTCRACKER

Dear Students, Families, Staff, Volunteers and all,

The 2018 full production of The Nutcracker is over. No words can express how happy and proud I am. From the tiniest Mice to all my most advanced students, everyone performed at the highest level possible! I know I really push hard during rehearsals but this is the result – an incredibly beautiful and well rehearsed production to present.

There are so many people to thank! To start, thank you to my Guest Artists Idael German, Risselle Alexandra Portuondo and Joseph J. Bucheck III for adding that extra spark to the production.

Thank you to: Muriel Joseph and Andre Coore at Palm Beach Gardens High School. Our Pyro Technician and Special Effects Coordinator Robert Shekon. Tyler Shaw for coming in to help with lighting design. Our new Land of the Sweets Golden Thrones were created and donated by Julie Luxton, and Liana Diamano stepped in as sound technician. Tangi Colombel and Michael Keavy worked Front-of House with Concessions run by the Nobel Family. Michael Keavy also helped make the score sound even better. Thank you to all the parents who donated items to sell at the concessions, as well. Thank you to Jane Pasley (Eight O Eight Hair Salon) for her help with Mother Ginger’s wig and helping her get ready for each show. She also supplied and helped with Clara's wigs. Thank you to William Linn for making sure Mother Ginger was prepared for all her entrances. He also helped backstage with many extra wardrobe repairs. Both Jane and William came with their time, professional talents and supplies as volunteers.

There is never enough words to express my thanks and appreciation for my army of volunteers. Paris Ballet could not do shows without them. Thank you to all (including staff) who have generously given their time to help make the production possible: Robyn Begley, Jessie Betancourt, Mercedes Childers, Cristina Ciolacu, Tangi Colombel, Erika DeOreo, Jodi Flanigan, Agnes Frank, Angela Gutierrez, Levonda Harris, Stephanie Higginbotham, Nicole Joslin, Christi Keavy, Michael Keavy. Roxy King-Currann, Sean Rothman, Krystle Little, Devon Luxton, Julie Luxton, Steve Luxton, Jeanette Medina, Lindsay Moretti, Angel Moye, James Nobel, Karen Nobel, Lynda Pinquiere, Leroy Roberts, Suzanne Rothman, Emily Schubert, Ashley Walker and Stefanie Wolfington.

After the final curtain came down me, Tangi Colombel, Karen Manucy, Leroy Roberts, Kari Hurmemaa, Rocky Hurmemaa and Joseph J. Bucheck III packed and loaded two huge truckloads including five carloads of scenery, sets pieces, props and costumes at the theatre. Then, they unloaded everything at the studio. This is a hard and often backbreaking job most everyone never sees but has to get done. A huge thank you for all their valuable and volunteer help!

Thank you to Emily Shubert for acting as Rehearsal Assistant and all her backstage cast coordination and help.

Thank you to Joseph J. Bucheck III for his extra time, talent, experience, and everything and all the extras he does for Paris Ballet and Dance.

Thank you to Karen Manucy for all her long hours and extra time, organizational skills and complete devotion to Paris Ballet and Dance. It is important to say, she does all of this on a volunteer basis.

A very special thank you to Tangi Colombel, for his continued support and positive attitude and eternal patience!

Every day, my staff is incredible. Thank you to Administrator/Volunteer Coordinator Karen Manucy, and Teachers Liana Damiano, Amy Fernandez Idael German, Melody Kline Janine Harris, Olivier Pardina, Risselle Alexandra Portuondo, Martha Satinoff, Emily Schubert and Stefanie Wolfington. Their constant hard work, talent, experience, and support is always appreciated.

I look forward to the performances at the Gardens Mall on December 22, the Magnifique Winter Intensive and the February performance at the Kravis Center. And preparing the students I am presenting at Youth American Grand Prix Semi Finals in Tulsa Oklahoma in March.

With all the hard work, commitment and dedication we continue to make a difference!

With much love,
Jean-Hugues Feray
Founder and Director
