The Nutcracker Audition is Almost Here!

One of the most anticipated events of our season is just around the corner!

Join us for the Paris Ballet and Dance Nutcracker Audition on Saturday, August 29 and become part of a holiday tradition that has delighted audiences year after year.

Our annual production has earned a reputation for excellence, beautiful choreography, outstanding production value, and unforgettable performances. It continues to be one of our audience favorites and was proudly recognized as Best Dance Production of the Year by Broadway World.

Auditions are open exclusively to registered Paris Ballet and Dance students for the 2026–2027 Dance Season.

We can’t wait to begin another magical Nutcracker journey together! 

REHEARSALS BEGIN ON SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 12TH, 2026.

Paris Ballet and Dance is now accepting new students (ages 9 and up) for our Daytime Pre-Professional Program and Competition Ensemble.

This audition is designed exclusively for outside students seeking exceptional classical ballet training in a disciplined, inspiring, and professional environment. This is a placement audition. 

Our Daytime Pre-Professional Program offers serious dancers a comprehensive curriculum designed to prepare them for advanced training and future opportunities in ballet.

Dancers interested in our Competition Ensemble will also be considered during the audition. Ensemble members receive additional coaching and have the opportunity to represent Paris Ballet and Dance at select regional and national ballet competitions throughout the season.

Under the direction of Jean-Hugues Feray—former international ballet star, internationally sought-after Master Teacher, Guest Faculty at Joffrey Ballet School in New York City, international guest teacher throughout Europe and the United States, and Adjudicator for Universal Ballet Competition—students benefit from professional experience, international connections, and world-class training rarely found in a local dance school.

Private auditions are also available by appointment for dancers unable to attend the scheduled audition.

WHEN YOU AUDITION:

●  BE ON TIME - if not EARLY!

● IF auditions are at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts please be aware of the parking situation. If there is a show in one of the theatres, it is difficult to get in and out of the garage. It is also important to be aware of downtown traffic along with train schedules.

● Wear a COMPLETE cover-up when entering and leaving the building(s).

REQUIREMENTS

Photographs: Head shot and Arabesque (Not necessary for Paris Ballet and Dance, and Paris Ballet Students for in-studio auditions.)

● ATTIRE

●  Girls: Pink tights, black leotard, both technique and pointe shoes, hair in neat high bun

●  Boys: Black or gray tights, white fitted T-shirt (tucked in), proper dance belt, black shoes, neat hair

●  Warm up clothes, sweats, etc. are NOT allowed in the audition room. A water bottle is acceptable.

 ● No talking or sitting during audition.

●  Students are required to leave their areas neat and completely clean when they leave!

● Wear a COMPLETE cover-up in the garage/parking lot, and when entering and leaving the building.

●  Do NOT bring anything valuable. Paris Ballet and/or the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts are NOT responsible for lost or stolen items.
